@ Nikki & Jeff: I heard about this serveral months ago and sent the info to ASCP for review. There's a Senator wanting to allow anyone to practice our profession without requiring official training through a school.
Thanks Deborah and Lugenia! This is what I was thinking but needed to double check my thought process. I will advise the lady that she can apply what she paid for the Groupon to the service it was for vs. applying it to another service on my menu. After checking my scheduling system, this lady make a reservation in March 2012, but no showed. I will advise her too of the $50 fee that applies to my no show policy. Thanks again!
Nikki,
What is the basis for the deregulation?

Hi All, I have just heard an alarming story about several states wanting to Deregulate Cosmetology, and everything that falls under that catagory! Has anyone else heard about this? And Texas is one of the states that have this legislation up for a hearing. This would be detrimental to our profession. I would really like to hear everyone else's thoughts about this dangerous proposition.
@ Ruby- I don't do the deals but if I'm reading your post correctly -your going to use it as a coupon for dollars off. If that's the case, use it on the services your comfortable discounting after all this time. I have bought a few but it's been along time so don't know how they read exactly.
Has anyone here promoted your business with a Groupon or LivingSocial? I have promoted with both in the last two years. Had a lady call this morning that has a voucher that expired exactly one year ago. I am happy for her to use as a coupon as required. Should it be applied to the exact service(s) the Groupon was for or for any service(s) on my menu?
Anyone else going to the Spa Conference in Dallas May 5?
If my memory serves me correctly, you do not need a sink in each treatment room. But you do need a sink that you can access in the salon. They test the water temp because of sanitation for laundry.
