I recall that pregnant estys aren't supposed to use high frequency (though I think that's kind of silly) and galvanic.
That's what i thought. I'm about 5 wks pregnant and i just wanted to be sure. I never use my galvanic but i do use high frequency for acne/after waxing and the skin spatula all the time.

congrats!

I don't see why you couldn't use the High Freq (but ask your Dr.)  Your body only comes in contact with the current for a second right before you touch it to the clients skin, right?

Congrats!! :)

You can use high frequency as long as you place the electrode on the face before turning it on (atleast that is what I was told to do while I was in school and pregnant.) That way you avoid direct contact. But always check with your doctor first.

You just have to use caution and your best judgement.  I am almost 27 weeks along with my second child.  When I was pregnant with my first, I stopped performing all laser treatments...Laser hair removal, vascular & PDT.  I worked for a derm at the time, so fortunately I was able to train an MA and have them step in to that role for me.  Looking back, I think it would have been fine to continue performing the laser treatments, but you just never want to take any chances.

Best wishes with your new little baby!!
