I have a new potential client who received a bikini wax last year (by another esthetician) after her first wax she got really bad ingrowns and continues to get them since then. What is your recommended plan of action? How does the Se Brazil bye-bump treatment work? Do you sell it to the client or do in office treatments? If so how often should I schedule her and how much do I charge? Do you continue to wax every 4 weeks? If this treatment is done at the spa what is the continued home treatment a client should adhere to?

Thank you for your help and knowledge :)

Erica,

I have some questions...

1. Does she shave now or is she going natural? You stated that she got a wax last year.

2. Does she currently use something for her ingrowns now?

Se-Brazil Bye-Bump treatment is for you to use in treatment post wax. I usually charge $10 on top of my bikini or brazilian wax for this treatment.  I would wax her every 4 weeks and to the treatment post wax, if she can come in for a treatment every 2 weeks that would better. Its hard to say if she needs homecare if you dont know what she is currently using.

Here is what I tell my ingrown clients:

~Don't wear underwear at night to bed...allow that area to breathe

~Don't wear sweaty clothes home after the gym

~Try to wear cotton underwear

~Don't pick at ingrowns

~Don't over do it with the home care, 3 times a week is 3 times a week not 3 times a day.

We are launching our Se-Brazil Bye-Bump Serum & Mask for retail in January 2012.

She shaves now but hasn't used anything for a while to treat ingrowns. She said she has tried everything but didn't give me a list of products.

I'm gonna try and get her on a 4wk wax schedule with treatments every 2 weeks.
