No they put the retinyl on first, wait 15 minutes, then the bpo.

Thank You for you reply Laura. Do you recommend using BP 2 times a day and if so then would it be applied over mandelic & then water based SPF?

Well, it all depends on what type of acne and skin you are dealing with.  If you have severe inflamed acne you will probably have your client do bpo twice a day; and in this case yes, mandelic, bpo, then wait as long as possible, then spf.  If your client is too dehyrated though you can't do bpo twice a day until their skin starts to adapt.

Hi Laura, I just little frustated when treat my client with acne. the most difiicult is acne on the forehead.could you give me suggest what the best home care  treatment and facial treatment . Thanks

Well, for now you could have them use a non-poreclogging benzoyl peroxide at night.  They have to get used to it - have them cleanse and put the bpo on for 15 minutes and wash it off, tone and put a noncomedogenic moisturizer on the rest of the night.  Do the 15 minute routine for 3 nights, then double the time to 30 minutes.  In three nights double the time to 60 minutes, then in 3 nights double the time to 2 hours.  After that they will leave it on all night - cleanse, tone, bpo (nothing over the top of it).  A decent over the counter one is Neutrogena On The Spot (but don't spot treat with it, use it all over).

There is SO much more to tell you but you really need to get the training DVD to understand everything you need to know to get your acne clients clear.  Way too much to type here...

I work at a franchise spa so it's very regimented.  I can only use their product lines. Dermalogica is one and the other is not worth mentioning.  I have an acne client that is very much like the first photo of your client. She just purchased pro-active.  Her mom can get the Derm products at a discount but she went for PA, I believe because of the tv ads and the low investment. I couldn't say they won't work because she hasn't tried them yet.  I've only seen her twice in 6 months-- but she returned because she said I helped her the most.  She lives a distance.  

Ultimately, I would like to help these types of clients.  I can't begin anything now but it's on my calendar for the new year.  You are the best resource and so appreciated. I will pm when I'm ready to take the course. Thank you Laura!!!
