Hi fellow Estys, I need help and I need your help now!
I’ve opened a skincare studio inside of a salon, and though I knew (from past experience) that business is can be slow during summer months, I never believed that I would totally hit a brick wall.
I’ve introduced myself by putting together gift bags and delivering them to the other stylists and businesses, and I’ve had some to come by, and they all stated that the studio is beautiful and serene. I want to…

This term describes efforts to prevent the spread of diseases as well as killing microbes. There are three levels of control; SANITATION, DISINFECTION, and the highest level is STERILIZATION. While in the workplace, cross-contamination can be prevented by simple steps such as washing yours hands, using latex or non-latex gloves (when preforming waxing services and extractions), safety glasses may even be needed in some cases. Disinfect your station before & after every client- Think…

Well here is something new. .. micro needle rollers We just started using these at the spa and selling them at the distribution center. Wow... they give new meaning to the term "no pain, no gain".. ha, ha. So interesting and we are all seeing the results. Wonder how our clients will react. When we use them on ourselves we control the pressure. We are using the ones with the 540 needles now. They are much more comfortable. Would love to hear what is happening out there…

After yet another busy day of Waxing and Lash Extensions, I'm tired. The last Lash client, Amy (names changed to protect the innocent), was nice, pleasant, kept still, professional, and I I applied a full set of lashes. After 2.25 hours, with 78 LPE & LashDip on the lowers, they looked fantastic, if I do say so myself. She was as pleased & happy as pie!
I rebooked her for 2 weeks, collected the $220. (she payed with visa), confirmed she didn't have any questions.... Sounds…

One way to avoid too much sun exposure is to stay out of the sun between the hours of 11am and 3pm. The UV rays are the strongest between these times. If you need to be outside, be sure to use a sunscreen with a 30 SPF (sun protection factor). And of course, wear your eyeglasses to protect your eyes! You will be glad you did as older age approaches.

Oh, how I love the summer. The long days, warm nights... and lots of sunshine.
This blond girl enjoys the sun on my face (with sun screen, of course), wind in my hair and lots of ice cream & Mint Juleps!
So bring it on mother nature, I'm ready, willing and waiting for you.
Your sole-full, fun loving ray of sunshine,
S~
